I really, really love my dog. I'm smoking, so I let her out, and it's snowed so of course there's snow everywhere. Even though it's 9:30, so she's obviously been outside, she walks around on the snow, and pauses every three or four steps and looks at me. If a dog can have a "What the fuck?" look, she's giving it to me. So she just walks around on the snow, constantly confused, as if she's never seen it before.

God bless her.

Since everyone else is doing it, I guess I can too.

Before the show tonight, I was inspired by a Rilo Kiley song...at least the last two or three seconds of it, which ended with the lyric "zeros and ones" (the song is Science vs. Romance, I believe, for those keeping score at home).

Anyway, this kind of got me thinking about binary systems and how cool it is that on these wacky new-fangled computers, different combinations of "nothingness" and somethingness" can create so many different things on a computer--programs, text, pr0n...

So I of course developed a crackpot theory that I in no way believe in but will defend to the death, because that's how I am.

Basically, that's what emotions are--different combinations of varying amounts of nothingness (love) and somethingness (hate). Or strike that and reverse it, depends on how you want to think about it, I suppose. Anyway, take those two components and you can build a whole range of feelings, a little bit of hate and a whole lotta love to make jealousy. Or a whole lot of hate and a little love to create bitter.

I need to buy a blender.
